As a teacher of graphic design for almost two decades, I have had the opportunity to accompany students on their journey of creative discovery by encouraging curiosity and experimentation in art and design.
As a typographer with a master's degree in typography from the University of Barcelona (UB), my curiosity about the shapes and patterns of letters has been constant. During my time as a student, I integrated programming into my work, exploring the boundaries between letter and scribble typical of Asemic writing.
In parallel to teaching, I have published four typefaces and devoted time to creative programming and generative art, with which I have discovered new forms of expression and creativity. Every line of code is an opportunity for discovery and self-expression.
I am dominated by a creative impulse that motivates me to experiment and play. I've created Twitter bots like the Typeface_Bot (which has generated over 80,000 random typefaces) and interactive machines of dubious utility.
Yes o No?
This machine helps you make decisions. Throw a question in the air and press the button to get a positive or negative answer. The result is random, I think so…
BotMaledu.cat, random insults in Catalan
A bot programmed to randomly generate insults in Catalan. Bot Maleducat is an entertainment and an artistic experiment that takes advantage of the immense amount of terms that exist in the Catalan language to insult. On Twitter, the bot has published an insult in Catalan every 12 hours through more than 1,500 randomly combined meanings. On the minisite dedicated to the bot, you can generate an insult and send it via whatsapp, twitter or email to whoever you want.
